HOW TO DRESS FOR A JOB INTERVIEW

A job interview is the time where you can ’sell’ your self. It’s the time for you to impress your interviewer or your boss. That’s why wearing proper dress in a job interview is very important. Clothes make a strong statement about you. Here are some tips how to dress for a job interview:

  1. Go to the office and see how the employees dress and what they wear.
  2. Consider the job’s location. If it’s a formal office, wear a conservation business suit. If it’s an informal office, wear a pantsuit with a sweater or blouse.
  3. Choose suitable shoes. Choose between closed-toe shoes, pumps and loafers.
  4. Avoid miniskirts, tight sweaters,sloppy overalls and sandals with straps.
  5. Check your outfit for holes, tears, stains, scuffs or wrinkles.
  6. Don’t make up too much. Tone down he use of makeup, hair spray, perfume and jewelry.
  7. Recheck your hair, nails, hems and the shine on your shoes.
  8. Carry a nice briefcase or portofolio.
